Re: Type 1 Medium Panel Enclosures
Type 1 medium panel
enclosures have recently been redesigned and improved with more sizes added.
The changes are detailed
below; however, one change that must be understood is that PANELS ARE NOW
OPTIONAL AND MUST BE ORDERED SEPARATELY. This will be a running change.
Please inform your customers of this change so there are no surprises. The
optional panel catalog number is listed in the catalog (i.e., 16126-1
enclosure uses an AW1612-IP panel). These panels are a different size than
standard AW panels.
The improvements are detailed
below:
- Type 1 panel enclosures are now IEC 529,
IP 30 rated.
- Eleven new sizes have been added to the
Type 1 medium panel enclosure group:
16166-1; 16206-1; 24166-1;
20248-1; 30308-1; 242010-1; 302410-1; 242012-1;242412-1; 302412-1; and
363012-1.
- The old "riveted" hinges have
been replaced with a spot-welded continuous hinge on all sizes.
- The offset body design has been
eliminated, and the enclosure is now a "shoebox" design where
the cover fits over the body.
- Cover corners are now welded or formed so
there is no more gap.
- Mounting holes for 3/8" hardware have
been added for easy enclosure mounting.
